Open Letter to All Potential Clients
Welcome, Fellow Traveler,
By arriving here, you have taken one more step toward
better health and even deeper self discovery, and I want to
acknowledge that.
Working together with a psychotherapist can help you reach
the next stage in your personal growth journey, or help you
find the strength and courage that you already possess to
face what seems overwhelming. Are you facing a life
transition and all the crises of identity that go with it?
Do you ever feel the added anxiety thinking that you might
have a set of uniquely strange issues that no one, not even
you, could possibly understand? Are you finding yourself
questioning everything you thought you knew, about what you
believe, yourself, and the world?
Change can come in many forms, but even good change means
loss, grief, and mourning. Some examples include entering
adolescence, adjusting to a new illness, the start or end
of a relationship, aging, the loss of a loved one, issues
around gender or sexuality, overcoming addiction, working
through problems at home, work, or in your community, and
many more.
As you face the often overwhelming circumstances that led
you here today and make the decision to get the support you
need to help yourself through this part of your journey, I
encourage you to ask questions and trust your instincts.
Please feel free to look through this site for more
information about how I approach therapy. I look forward to
hearing from you.
You are an individual with unique needs, stories,
experiences, cultural integration, spiritual or
philosophical beliefs, pragmatic concerns, family history,
personal quirks, strengths, challenges, and more. I want to
know YOU, not just your different components.
Whatever led you here, whatever unknowns you face, whatever
your past, present, or future, I wish you health and
wellness in every area of your life.
Sincerely,
Alexander Yoo, MA, MFTI
